Hi all,
Well, since I've started a new job my hobby work has been a little on the quiet side (training at the moment, learning the relevant processes etc.) However, I did manage to get a bit of painting done, to bring my Marines up to an effective strength. I also discovered this little gem:
Fairy Power Spray!
This is fantastic stuff for stripping paint off models. It works on plastic, metal and resin (I've tries all 3 over the last week before recommending it.) Basically, give the whole model a good spray, let it foam up, leave it for 5 to 10 minutes then give it a good scrubbing with an old, soft toothbrush. Voila! 1 model ready to paint again.
Over the next week, I'm going to be doing a bit more with the Marines, then hopefully getting a game in this weekend. I'm eager to find out how much they've changed from 5th Ed, and how useful the Combat Squads in a Rhino is (it should mean that you are able to target 3 units from 1 vehicle, thanks to the 2 Firepoints.)
Oh- and a bonus update tomorrow, since I was asked to further explain my Tyranid tactic from last Wednesday.
Final point- the next round of HoP Idol2 is up. Go vote! (My submission is here, for those that are interested)
Comments, as always, are welcome.
